As a vice president for the Syndication team at Enterprise Community Investment, Inc., Steve Smith manages acquisitions activity and key developer relationships in the Mid-Atlantic and southeastern states of Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and
Virgina, as well as the District of Columbia.
Steve leads a team to underwrite and close affordable multifamily rental housing investment opportunities using the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC). These include family, elderly and special needs projects. He also supports the promotion of Enterprise’s comprehensive community development services, including technical assistance, grants, New Markets Tax Credits and multifamily mortgage debt products.
Steve received a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan
State University.
