WHAT: Green Homes and Sustainable Communities is the only annual national symposium on green affordable housing and community development and provides critical information on the connection between environmental sustainability and stronger communities for low-income Americans.

WHO: Conference co-chairs Jeffery Lesk, Esq., partner, Nixon Peabody LLP and Stockton Williams, senior vice president, Enterprise Community Partners will be joined by locally and nationally recognized experts in affordable housing and sustainable community development. The welcome address will be provided by Chicago’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Environmental Officer, Sadhu Johnston. DETAILS: The two-day conference will bring together developers, syndicators, investors, attorneys, lenders, underwriters, community-based organizations, state and local housing and community development agencies, architects, planners, contractors, property managers and other building industry professionals interested in green building, affordable housing and community development.
New financing tools, public policy initiatives and environmental sustainability opportunities are transforming the affordable housing industry. The symposium provides the latest information on how green development is becoming the affordable housing mainstream as federal, state and local policies are increasingly requiring sustainable practices in the construction of affordable housing nationwide.
