Columbia Square Apartments: A First in Green Affordable Housing for Oklahoma
February 12, 2008 - Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) featured Columbia Square Apartments in the Winter 2008 issue of their newsletter, Housing Connection.
As one of the first affordable housing projects to go green in the state, Columbia Square is a living example that affordable and green is possible.
The development received $500,000 in LIHTC from OHFA; Enterprise served as tax credit syndicator on the project. OHFA encourages developers to build green by awarding extra points on funding applications for the use of energy-efficient materials and appliances.
When complete, Columbia Square will provide 64 units affordable to families at 30% AMI in Lawton, Okla.
