As vice president of Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Mr. Brandenburg is responsible for stabilization of Enterprise's national portfolio of tax credit and other multifamily low and moderate-income housing projects. To accomplish this goal, he manages the workout process on troubled projects, as well as managing risk in the portfolio. In addition, he is responsible for managing Enterprise's approach to transferring its tax credit portfolio to nonprofit sponsors as projects reach the end of the 15-year tax credit compliance period.
Mr. Brandenburg joined Enterprise in 1998 as director, Asset Management, and was promoted to managing director in July 2001 and then to vice president in December 2005. Prior to joining Enterprise, Mr. Brandenburg served for over 11 years as executive director of two nonprofit housing agencies in Columbia and Baltimore, Maryland, and he also has seven years experience in local government, focusing on neighborhood conservation programs, in Kansas City, Missouri. He also worked for HUD in Detroit, Michigan as an urban planner, and in the central office in Washington, D.C., on the subsidized housing program staff.
Mr. Brandenburg is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), holds a master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. |
