As vice president for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Mr. Crawford manages acquisitions activity for the mid-Atlantic area, which includes eight states. He leads a team of three underwriters whose syndication activity comprises approximately one-quarter of the company’s tax credit portfolio. His team also markets Enterprise’s comprehensive community development services, including technical assistance, affordable housing organization grants, New Markets Tax Credits, and mortgage services.
Additionally, Mr. Crawford works directly with various developers throughout the mid-Atlantic
region to syndicate low-income housing tax credit projects through Enterprise’s national and
private label equity funds. Mr. Crawford joined Enterprise as acquisitions manager in 1998 and was
appointed to his current position in 2004.
Mr. Crawford has been involved in commercial lending and housing finance and development for over 14 years. Before joining Enterprise, he worked as a commercial real estate lender for Allfirst (formerly First National Bank of Maryland). In 1996, he began managing all facets of the bank’s tax credit portfolio. Prior to Allfirst Bank, Mr. Crawford served four years in the U.S. Army as an Artillery Officer in Schweinfurt, West Germany.
