As director for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Mr. Jaipuriar manages key
developer relationships in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, New Jersey and New York. Mr. Jaipuriar is responsible for expanding permanent debt financing for multifamily rental housing developments in the D.C. and New York metropolitan areas.
Mr. Jaipuriar has nine years of multifamily rental housing experience with Enterprise. For eight years Mr. Jaipuriar expanded Enterprise’s tax credit syndication activity in Indiana and Wisconsin, building a solid customer base from the ground up. He served as director, tax credit syndication, originating and closing more than $200 million of low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity for 48 projects throughout Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. These transactions included a wide range of affordable rental housing and financing types, including HOPE VI, HUD mixed-finance, USDA Rural Development, historic preservation, brownfield redevelopment, scattered-site, elderly, and special needs. Previously, as a multifamily asset manager, Mr. Jaipuriar managed a portfolio of more than 40 LIHTC projects across multiple states.
Prior to joining Enterprise, Mr. Jaipuriar served as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax for six years in New Delhi, India. As Assistant Commissioner, he managed the review, audit, investigation and assessment of corporate tax returns in New Delhi’s company circle jurisdiction.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi and a master’s degree in history from the University of Delhi. He also obtained an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in 1999. |
