As director, fund management for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Mr. McGrain directs and oversees all aspects of its private equity real estate funds. This includes raising capital; sourcing, structuring and closing investments; managing daily fund operations, and overseeing asset management and financial
reporting functions.
Mr. McGrain brings over 20 years of experience to the fund management position, in the areas of
land acquisition and development, capital raising and fund management. Prior to joining Enterprise,
he was most recently a managing director, partner and co-founder of Chesapeake Capital Partners, LLC,
a regional private equity firm. Over 10 years, the company raised, invested and managed over
$100 million in equity capital in 10 separate funds for land development and housing projects.
Covering an 8-state area, these investments in residential land supported over 14,000 lots and homes
in 99 individual communities, and represent over $3 billion in finished home values.
Mr. McGrain holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University, and Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Real Estate and Regional Science degrees from Southern Methodist University.
