As senior vice president and general counsel for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Mr. Rothschild is responsible for coordinating all legal work for the company including the supervision of outside counsel, corporate legal compliance, document preparation and litigation.
Before joining Enterprise, Mr. Rothschild spent 19 years with The Rouse Company, a nationally acclaimed developer of planned communities and mixed-use and retail development. For three years at Rouse, he held the position of general counsel and supervised a legal staff of 25 attorneys and 30 paralegals. He has extensive experience in real estate development and financing, commerical leasing, real estate taxation and mergers and acquisitions involving real estate companies. Mr. Rothschild began his legal career with the law firm of Semmes, Brown & Semmes in Baltimore, and most recently operated his own law firm in Columbia, Md.
Mr. Rothschild graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in economic and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
He has been active in numerous charitable and community organizations and has served as the chairman of the board of both The Columbia Foundation and the Central Maryland Chapter of the American Red Cross, and as a member of the board of directors of the United Way of Central Maryland. He is currently on the Board of Leadership Howard County and is a member of the Howard County Spending and Affordability Committee. |
