As chairman of the board of Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. (Enterprise), Jaime Yordán oversees the board’s activity in corporate governance matters. With the board, he provides insight and guidance to advance Enterprise’s strategic business goals. Mr. Yordán was appointed chairman in early 2008.
Mr. Yordán has a distinguished 30-year career in investment banking and finance, with a Latin America focus. He currently serves as Vice Chairman, Global Banking, Latin America for Citi Markets & Banking. Through senior coverage of key clients in the region, as well as capitalizing on significant opportunities in banking, fixed income, and equity markets, Mr. Yordán continues to build Citi’s successful global banking business in Latin America.
From 1975 to 1990, Mr. Yordán worked for JP Morgan, in management positions in the International Banking Department, the National Banking Department, and the Mergers and Acquisitions Department. In 1990 he joined Goldman Sachs, where he established a Latin America business for the firm. He was elected General Partner in 1992, and in 1999 was named Chairman for Latin America. Upon his retirement from Goldman Sachs in 2005, he became Advisory Director at CDK Group LLC.
Mr. Yordán became a trustee of Enterprise Community Partners in 2002 and has also co-chaired Enterprise's New York Advisory Board since 2001. He serves on the board of trustees for Hamilton College and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Harvard Business School’s Latin America Advisory Committee.
Mr. Yordán holds an M.B.A. from Harvard, a master’s degree from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College.
