Enterprise Executive Named One of Maryland's Top 100 Women

Enterprise Homes' Chickie Grayson Receives Award

Columbia, Md. (March 14, 2006) – The staff of Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. congratulate colleague Chickie Grayson, president and CEO of Enterprise Homes, Inc., on being named one of Maryland's Top 100 Women by Baltimore's The Daily Record! Now in it's 11th year, the publication's annual award program recognizes successful female professionals who give back to the community.

The Daily Record received more than 400 nominations this year from economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, women's organizations and the business community at large. The judges considered the applicants' professional accomplishments, leadership, volunteerism and mentoring activities in determining the honorees, who must also reside or work in Maryland.

"It's been wonderful to see the impact of Chickie's work and dedication to communities over the years,” said Jeff Donahue, president and CEO of Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. and chairman of Enterprise Homes' board. “I'm delighted that the business community continues to recognize her outstanding efforts as well.”

During her 19-year career with Enterprise, Ms. Grayson has established a reputation for building high quality, mixed-income communities and providing workforce homeownership opportunities. Enterprise has developed over 4,000 for-sale and rental units throughout the East Coast. Under Grayson's leadership, Enterprise Homes has been the recipient of numerous national and local awards of excellence.

"To be affiliated with such a remarkable group of women is a great honor,” said Grayson. “I'm very fortunate that I get to do what I love. There is great reward in seeing people with a sense of hope about their future that they never thought possible.” Her determination and passion leads her commitment to Maryland 's communities. Added Grayson, “No matter what challenges we face, we see a community built, no matter what.”

In addition to her work with Enterprise, Ms. Grayson currently serves on the board of Parks and People Foundation and the Home Builders Association of Maryland.

The Top 100 Women will be honored at an awards ceremony on Monday, May 8, at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore. For more information visit www.top100women.com.
