Fletcher, Oklahoma Mayor Dick Herrin Welcomes Families to New Affordable Homes at Northtown Apartments

BACKGROUND: Northtown Apartments is a community of 24 newly built homes for families earning 60 percent or less of area median income in Fletcher, Oklahoma. The apartment complex features 14 two-bedroom homes and 10 three-bedroom homes located within six buildings on a 5.6 acre site. The development also includes a community building with an office, a computer room, library and a meeting room with a kitchen. The $3.5 million project was developed by the Great Plains Improvement Foundation, Inc., with a $2.3 million tax credit equity investment from Enterprise Community Investment, Inc., $820,000 in financing from the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency, $250,000 in permanent financing from the Bank of Oklahoma and $91,000 from the Federal Home Loan Bank.
