BACKGROUND: More than 200 Enterprise employees will assist in transforming West Baltimore's Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School campus and the YMCA Urban Services office space located in the school by painting engaging and inspiring murals and blacktop games, organizing classrooms and learning areas, polishing auditorium seats, and beautifying the school's entryway. In addition, Enterprise staff will add green space to Abbottston Elementary School in north Baltimore to transform a vacant lot into a welcoming park area for children and families. The lot site preparation will also be the focus of Enterprise's eighth annual James Rouse Community Service Day on October 11, 2008. At the Loading Dock, Enterprise volunteers will help sort reusable and surplus building materials and appliances for redistribution to renovate affordable housing.
