Green Communities National Summit

In February 2012 Enterprise brought together over 180 leaders in affordable housing development, finance, and policy to Dallas, Texas for a National Green Communities Summit. Participants shared ideas, explored what is working, and collaborated to help advance the field of green affordable housing. Enterprise hosted the Summit as part of a Call to Action to ensure that all publicly subsidized affordable housing has the opportunity to benefit from green practices by 2020: 2020Green. Earlier conversations between affordable housing and community development stakeholders during regional convening’s in Denver, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. leading up to the Summit guided the discussion in Dallas (see discussion guide for document used during the Summit). The final report compiles the results of the National Summit.
