Green Neighborhood Stabilization Program

This HUD-administered program awards funds to states and local governments to purchase and rehabilitate foreclosed and abandoned properties.

Support for Local Housing Rehabilitation Programs
Every local housing rehabilitation program working on NSP is required to have a standard that is used with all properties. This standard should convey whether to replace or repair a component of the house. The green rehabilitation specifications should define what to replace the component with or how to repair it if replacement isn't warranted. The ideal integration of Green Rehabilitation Specifications in a Local Housing Rehabilitation Program would include:
